Piano Lessons for Ages 5-9
Now that you and your child have chosen an instrument, it's time to discuss the details of taking piano lessons with Treble Strings. We do not currently offer individual piano lessons because we do not have an instructor qualified to do so. We are in the process of recruiting a piano instructor and hope to be able to offer individual lessons in the near future. Meanwhile, we have a program called Piano Partners, which is only available for children ages 5-9. In order to participate in the program, each child must have a "partner." You may form a partnership yourself with siblings or other friends or relatives, or we have a waiting list for students who have not been matched with a partner. The partners play together in our studio once a week for 20 weeks, excluding holidays. The studio is located at 203 W Main in Smithville, MO. If you have a piano in your home, we may schedule a home lesson, instead. Tuition is $200 per child, which can be divided into five payments of $40. There is no homework or practice requirement, although reviewing the activities at home is encouraged. Piano Partners is good for learning theory and playing by ear, and it can also be a good introduction to music if your child has not decided what instrument to study long-term. Students who complete the program are encouraged to continue piano with individual lessons or choose a different instrument. If you are interested in more information about Piano Partners at Treble Strings, please complete the form below to be contacted by one of our instructors.
