About
Music lessons are about so much more than learning to play music.
There is some controversy about whether or not it helps with academic performance. But it really doesn't matter if it does or not because it definitely provides valuable life lessons.
Practice teaches children that hard work pays off and helps them develop patience and time management skills. Playing an instrument involves a lot of learning about yourself, from your physical limitations to how you learn. Music provides a healthy form of expression for things you might not be able to put into words. The choices music students make have consequences, which provide learning opportunities. If you don't prepare for a performance, you're not going to do well. If you don't pay attention to the habits you are developing, they can hurt you or halt your progress.
Music has its own value, too, and there is something to be said for studying music for that reason alone, without regard to what else we can gain from it.
Treble Strings instructors provide opportunities to study music virtually, particularly for students who have few or no traditional options to learn due to such factors as limited availability of local teachers, unusual schedules, or frequent travel. Virtual lessons are also more convenient, and you receive more instruction time because you don't have to transport your instrument, which means you can be tuned and ready to go when you log in and don't have to put things away until after you log out.
